Hello all! I hope everyone's summer is going well. :)

Let's see...it's been so long since I last posted. The most recent news is that I got my hair chopped off. It was risky, but I really like it. I dyed it (once again) and got highlights this time, too. I like it lots. :)

The job is going okay. It's not a hard job, it's just there is always that one person you dread working with. I don't have to work with this woman too often, but when I do, I don't even feel like getting up in the morning. She's worked at the store ever since they opened, so she thinks she's the Applebee's god or something. Luckily, she's going back to being a server, so I won't have to deal with her too much longer.

Life in Athens is actually pretty nice. Sometimes boring, yes, but so far it's been a good summer. Andrew is the best. I'm glad that I didn't listen to everyone else and I made my own decision. Things couldn't be better. It's almost been a year now. I think we complement each other very well.

I'm still looking for a car. I've decided that I should get an automatic. Stick shifts make me nervous. Lol. I think I'll eventually learn, just not now. I'm making good money, and Andrew and I decided that we'll go in on a car together, and when I graduate he'll get rid of the Jetta and we'll pack up my car and just go. Go where, neither one of us are sure yet. But lots of traveling is in the future.

I got a cell phone, finally. I feel like I've caught up with everyone else. Lol. If anyone wants my number, email me or something. I don't want to post it here. Who knows who reads this. Lol. I also have a new address. Same goes, if you want it, get a hold of me.

I think the trip to Chicago is going to happen. I'm excited. I haven't seen Jodi in quite a long time. I miss her. Plus it'll be my first trip on a plane. That in itself is pretty exciting to me. Lol.

Well, I need to go check the mail and get some education work together for my portfolio. I'm going to try and get into the education program this summer, since I'm here. Until next time!

This is me! Obviously because today is the last of the semester. I finished up yesterday, and let me tell ya, I am soooo extremely glad that this one is over!

So I haven't posted in forever, so I have lots of catching up to do. First off, the job at Applebee's is going really well. I like it, and I enjoy the people I work with. I just hope I keep enjoying it. Most people hate their jobs, and I don't want to be one of those people. I get to make food for $7.25 an hour. Pretty damn good, I think.

Andrew and I moved all of my stuff into the apartment. So I guess it's official now. Geeze, I have a lot of stuff. It's ridiculous. I plan on getting rid of a lot of it. Selling it, giving it away...whatever works. It'll be interesting staying here all summer. Athens is so dead over breaks. I'll find stuff to get into, though. Hopefully I'll get to help paint the NZX lounge. I'm also trying to plan a trip to Chicago to see my best friend. That'll be exciting.

There's a 1998 VW bug that's calling my name. It's a standard, though.  My first lesson in driving a stick didn't go that great. I got it going the first time, but stalled it the next two times. I kinda gave up, and the car disappeared off the lot, but now it's back. I think Andrew and I are going to go look at it and see how much it is. If the price is right, I'm going to try to learn again. Keep those fingers crossed!

Well, I have errands to run. I have to deposit a check and order some new checks, then work on getting a new mail box. Then it's off to the apartment to unpack and try to rearrange stuff. Fun times. Lol.

Til next time,

~Lauren

I promise that once things are less hectic, I'll post!

*Sigh*

For whatever reason, I feel so overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with school, mostly, but also overwhelmed with other areas in my life. It just seems like there's so much to do, with so little time. Plus, I'm extremely moody today. It's also my busiest day, go figure.

Alright, I'm not going to write anymore until I'm in a better mood. Until then...

I'm sitting in the library waiting for 11:00 a.m. to roll around so I can go to drawing class. I actually got everything accomplished that I wanted to while I was here, so I'm happy.

Spring break was eventful. I'm now a semi-redhead, and my ears are pierced, all thanks to Andrew. My hair's not supposed to be red. It looked a lot different on the box. But, it's growing on me. Andrew put the leftover dye in his hair, but you can't really tell. For a day or so we both had purple hair. It was fun. I'm way excited about my ears being pierced now. I've gone plenty of times throughout my life to get my ears pierced, but the noise that the gun makes freaks me out. So, last Monday Andrew took on the task of piercing them for me. It was definitely an experience. But now they're done and my ears are cute. I'm now in the "let's go look at earrings" stage that I imagine most five year old girls go through when they get theirs pierced. Lol. That's okay, though. Other than that, not too much went on. Andrew got another tattoo, this time of a devil's head. I like it a lot. I was a little leary when he told me about it, but it looks awesome. Body modification was the theme last week, I guess.

I have a huge French test tomorrow. Have I studied for it? Not nearly as much as I need to. Today is too busy to get any studying in. Classes til 7:30, then all the NZX girls are celebrating it up at Texas. Yaye for the one year anniversary of NZX!

Well, it's time for class. Drawing II here I come.
